Here at the spacious Suite shredquarters, it gets hectic keeping on top of everything happening in the wonderful world of action sports. Despite the unexpected snow in the US Northeast, the Red Bull Trick or Treat BMX still happened and a new independent skateboarding magazine, 43 Magazine, hit the concrete with much fanfare. This is a small slice of the extreme sports universe to get in the proper skate of mind, so get moving.

Skateboarding Magazine – 43 Magazine Launch

43 Magazine, a new independent skateboarding magazine, had its official launch and preview issue photography exhibit at Recess gallery in Manhattan on October 27, 2011. 43 Magazine, the brainchild of Allen Ying, gets its title from the old-school name for the skateboard trick, the frontside no-comply, and the non-profit status and non-corporate approach is the magazine's own no-comply in the industry. The first issue came about largely from donations through Kickstarter.

43 Magazine is a visual treat, a 12 x 12" format with stunning photographs for skate gourmets. The mission of 43 Magazine is to promote the skating, art, photography, and creative, independent spirit of skateboarding in a magazine that captures the essence of skate culture. Each edition of the magazine will showcase a photography exhibit in a different city that will show and sell large prints of the work featured in the magazine to set the work in a formal art environment, bringing fans of the visual arts and members of the skate community together.
